Why Avogel?

A New, Proven Way to Improve Scar Appearance!

Avogel® Gel Sheeting offers a more effective way to fade hypertrophic and keloid scars, helping skin return to a more natural appearance. Designed by Avocet Polymer Technologies, Avogel relieves pain, itching, and tenderness while softening and reducing scar tissue.

Clinically proven and effective even on scars up to three years old, Avogel helps fade discoloration within weeks, promoting smoother skin and renewed confidence.

How Avogel Works

Avogel is a biocompatible polymer gel sheeting with a high water content, allowing it to retain more moisture than conventional silicone products. This creates a controlled healing environment that supports scar remodeling and tissue recovery.

Studies show that hydrogel sheeting is as effective as silicone sheeting for scar management, but with fewer side effects. Avogel is FDA-approved and recognized as substantially equivalent to silicone for the treatment of hypertrophic scars.

Usage Guidelines

Avogel Gel Sheeting should be worn over a scar daily for 10–14 hours, followed by a 2–4 hour break to allow the area to air-dry.

Noticeable fading typically appears within one to two weeks, though results vary depending on scar age and size. For best results, users should continue application for four weeks after fading is observed.

The flexible, cool-feeling design conforms comfortably to the skin and can be secured with wraps or netting. It may also be used alongside topical scar-care products.

Precautions

Avogel should not be used on open wounds, or on infected or draining scars. Discontinue use immediately if rash, irritation, or signs of infection occur.
