Avosil is specifically formulated to reduce the pain, itching, and tenderness of scars. It is widely used for treating burn wound scars and other irritating scars. The bio-compatible gel formulation has been designed to deliver hydration to areas of healing tissue.

Avosil contains salicylate, which is a known anti-inflammatory agent. The polymer base of the topical gel has been selected to effectively facilitate the delivery of salicylate to the source of inflammation and discomfort in the healing scar tissue.

Avosil Scar Care Ointment should be applied twice daily on closed scars for optimal effect. Noticeable scar fading can be seen in one to two weeks, while relief can often be felt soon after initial use. For best results, Avosil should continue to be used for four weeks after the scar fades. The rate of fading is influenced by scar age and size.
